Yoga in Sanskrit language means to unite, bind, or join together. It is an ancient method of uniting your mind, body, and soul. The importance and benefits of yoga have been mentioned all over the ancient Hindu and Buddhist literature and scriptures, and they have also now been corroborated by science.
Nepal is a country well known for yoga. There are many places in this country where the rishis, ascetics, and yogis of ages past have meditated and gained enlightenment. Several of these places in this country have been said by these masters to be the best for doing yoga. Recently, many yoga centres have also opened up in various parts of this country, which are run by well-known yogis. If you would like to join any of these centres or do a yoga tour by yourself, First Environmental Trekking can help organize such a tour for you. We work in coordination with various yoga centres and yoga teachers from in and around Kathmandu and so we can help you choose one that is best for you.
