Larke Peak (6,416 m) climbing is a trekking route that has recently been opened by the Nepalese Government in the area of Manaslu. Larke Peak (6,416 m) Climbing is located in western part of Nepalese in the area of Gorkha District. It is a long trek to the top of the highest mountain in Nepal. The journey to the top of Larkya peaks starts from the scenic drive to arughat bazaar from the capital Kathmandu by following the Soti khola trail. Along the way, we will pass through many small villages such as Jagat, Deng, Namrung, Samagaon, Samdo. We will also pass through many green lush forest with the view of high mountains. Local villages along the way provide us with the opportunity to learn about their culture & customs, Monasteries, prayer flags, prayer wheel, prayer walls and so on. Upon reaching the top of the mountain, the spectacular views of the mountains make the trek interesting and unforgettable.
Due to the fact that Larke Peak (6,416 m) is among the least climbed in Nepal, climbers and adventure seekers are eager to reach the peak to satisfy their thirst for adrenaline and excitement. The trail is challenging and requires good fitness with previous experience in mountaineering. Peak climbing journey goes through villages with a strong Buddhist faith and a Tibetan influenced culture to reach the top of one of the most beautiful peaks in the area of Manaslu. Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our company representatives will welcome you to Nepal. Then drive to the hotel where you will be staying. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Meeting with the team members and brief introduction about the program and preparation for all the necessary gears, climbing equipment, and other essential materials required to complete the Larkey peak climbing successfully. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Your journey to the adventure starts from Kathmandu, with a jeep ride ride to Maccha Khola. It takes around 8 hours. Starting with the black-toped and ending with the dusty and bumpy roads. You can enjoy the beautiful landscape views along the way making the journey visually rewarding. Along the way you will have several stops for pictures, breaks to stretch, and meals. You will reach the destination during the evening and stay overnight at one of the teahouses at Maccha Khola, where you will spend the night with good food and a comfortable resting place.
First day walking toward Jagat along the river to Khorlabesi which is an elevation of 1,340 meters. It will take around six hours to reach there. We will go crossing the gracious Machha River and Khola Besi where we will spot a hot spring known as “Tatopani”. Along the way, we will be reaching a permit checking point where our Permit will be checked. We will be staying overnight at Jagat.
We will start our journey early morning after breakfast towards Deng which is situated at an elevation of 1860 meters. It will take around seven hours to reach there. we will be ascending the Saguleri Along the way we will have a unique and breathtaking experience with a wonderful view of Sringi Himal 7,177 m. stay overnight at the tea house at Deng.
Today will be heading towards Lho village which is at an elevation of 3200 m. We will be walking along the Budhi Gandaki River crossing on wooden bridge across the river. we will enjoy the magnificent view of Naike Peak, Manaslu, and Manaslu North along the way. Stay overnight at the tea house at Lho.
Today we will walk towards Sama Gaon, It is a lovely village located at 3,500m above sea level. We will pass through an area of well-maintained Mani stones, which will give us some refreshment. To get a good view of Mt Manaslu from here, we will need to do a brief hike to the Pungen glacier. It will take us around 6 hours to reach the village. We will spend the night at Sama gaon on the tented Camp.
We will have a breakfast after we’ll be leaving Sai Gaon and heading to Samdo. Samdo is 4500m high. The journey to Samdo will take around 5 hours. We’ll be spending the night in Samdo.
Rest day for acclimatization. Acclimatization is crucial when trekking at higher altitudes, as it helps your body adjust to the reduced oxygen levels, reducing the risk of altitude-related illnesses. You can hike and explore around the local area and enjoy the local culture and know the people around.
Today we are heading towards Dharmsala, the Base Camp of Larke Peak. Dharmsala is located at an elevation of 4,460 meters. It takes around five hours to reach there. We will be stay overnight around the basecamp at Dharmasala.
After breakfast we will trek from Dharmasala to Larke Peak Base Camp located at 5,480 meters above sea level. It takes around 6 hours to the camping destinations. Our guides and climbers will be setting up all the necessary climbing gear for the next day’s to summit. We will spend the night at Advance Base Camp.
Due to the unpredictability of the weather at higher altitudes and the fact that the weather can change in any way and at any time of the day, we split the 13th day for emergency reasons. It also means that we have to be flexible with the summiting plan because if the weather is bad and the risks are high, we cannot climb the peak.
we begin the ascent of Larke peak. Obviously, our plan depends on the weather but with good weather, we will make it to the top with the assistance of our climbing master. We will start the ascent very early as the same day we will be returning to the base camp of Larke Peak at 6416 meters. It will be a proud day for you to reach the top of the mountain and it will be something to celebrate. We will spend the night at the base camp of the Larke peak.
Today we will be heading towards Bhimthang at an altitude of 3,590m. We will ascend to the pass of Larkya La at 5,215m, where we will be rewarded with incredible views of mountain peaks such as Himlung Himal, Annapurna Il, Gyagi Kung, and other snow-capped peaks. Although the ascent may be difficult, it is also rewarding. We will spend the night at Bhima Thang, and it will take us approximately 8 hours to get to Bhima Thang.
Dharapani trail offers a varied and captivating trek through different landscapes. Begin your trek by descending and crossing the stony glacier, then ascend from the moraine. Along this route, you will be surrounded by the dense forests of the region and will be taken in by the stunning views of the mountains. You will pass through the village of Tilje, which is one of the most beautiful villages in the area. The inhabitants of this village lead a traditional life, often engaged in farming and animal husbandry, and take great care of their sheep. After breakfast, you will continue your journey by following a variety of natural trails, which will take you through the small ridge and on a stone-paved course. You will cross Dudh Khola through a suspension bridge, and then ascend to the top of the arch, where you will be able to admire the snow-covered mountains. On the way to Karcher, you will pass through fields and ascend uphill to Gho, where you will have an opportunity to take in the views of Marsyangdi Valley and the picturesque settlements of Tilje. Finally, you will arrive at the beautiful village of Thonje, where you can experience beautiful surroundings.
As you continue, you pass a police post in the town and continue on your way to Dharapani town. Dharapani is one of the most important points in the whole Annapurna Circuit and attracts a lot of trekkers. From here, you can once more see the snow-covered mountains of the area. The day’s journey comes to a close as you reach Dharapani and retire to a teahouse, ready to recharge and get ready for the next adventure on the trail.
After breakfast, we will take a jeep ride to Besisahar. It will take about 3 hours to reach Besisahar which is 760 meters above sea level. Along the way, we will pass Chamje, Himal Pani and other villages. From Besisahar we will take a change of transport to Kathmandu.
