The Chepang hill trail begins from Hugdi, one can raft to Hugdi from Kurintar. From Hugdi the trail goes to Hattibang where there are 4 households ready for home-stay where one can also experience the cultural performances of Chepangs and other ethnic groups and bird watching activity. Then comes Siraichuli which is the highest viewpoint and offers magnificent sunrise and sunset views with wide range of Himalayas in the likes of peak 29, Annapurna range, Gorkha Himal, Gaurishankar, Dhaulagiri, Langtang, Rolwaling, Manaslu. You can also paraglide from this point. A good camping site waits at Upperdangadhi which a classic octagonal artillery fort is passing into the chitwan hills that defended the surrounding countryside during the reign of Bahadur shah. The fort offers spectacular views from every direction. Village walks, nature and bird watching tours are its additional attractions. Then comes Shaktikhor where one can experience the Chepang traditional lifestyle and homestay and buy local handicrafts as souvenirs. The trial then passes through Jyandala and ends at Shaktikhor. Apart from the trail one can also go to Sauraha or Royal Chitwan National Park for other wildlife activities.

Itinerary - Chepang Hill Trail

Day 01 : Drive from Kathmandu to Hugdi which takes about three hours.
Day 02 : Trek from Hattibang to Jyandala via Jautesh, Changa and Dinglang which takes about three hours.
Day 03 : Trek from Jyandala to Gadi via Siraichuli and Chisapanitar and it takes about six and half hours.
Day 04 : Trek from Gadi to Shaktikhor which takes about five hours.
Day 05 : Trek from Shaktikhor to Majhbang via Sinti and Siddi and it takes about seven hours.
Day 06 : Trek from Majhbang to Chitram and trek back to Shaktikhor which takes about four hours.
Day 07 : Drive from Shaktikhor to Kathmandu and it takes about seven hours.

How can I enter in Nepal?

Can I do Chepang Hill Trail in Chitwan?
Chepang Hill Trail in Chitwan is suitable for any trekker looking for something a little more challenging and energetic. It does not require that you have any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. You need to be moderately fit and normally healthy. It is good if you do some exercise before you come to Nepal for trekking.

When should I come for
Chepang Hill Trail in Chitwan?
February, March, April, May, June, September, October, November are the best seasons. However, July & August are okay and trekking can be done but not so clear visibility due to rain.

Do I need to join with group?
It is not necessary; you have to join with group and follow our group departure date, because private trip departures everyday upon your
request and requirements. You can move at your own pace and set your own schedule by not being in group.

What kind of accommodation I can have during the trip?
In Kathmandu, we can provide any category of hotels you want as per your interest and budget and during the trekking, we provide you guest house which is called Tea house. Tea Houses are more like hotels, with hot showers, western food, and private rooms (twin sharing). In this arrangement overnight halts with dinner and breakfast will be in Tea-houses (Lodges) and lunches in local restaurants en-route.

Furthermore as you will be staying in locally owned lodges you will be benefiting and interacting with the local community. It will give you a true feel for the Nepalese people and their lives.

What kind of meals I can have during the trek?
All Meals on full board basis will be provided during trekking. You have to choose from menu. Freshly cooked food is served at all times (western, continental and Nepali meals are available in all places). Three meals a day will be provided.

Do I have pre-departure meeting?
Yes, at first, our staff will receive you at the airport and transfer to the hotel and our tour leader will brief regarding about the trip. The briefing will cover the itinerary and introduction of your trek guide and porters.

Can I charge camera batteries along the trek?
Yes, Most of the places, you can charge batteries along the trek (per hour USD 2-3 for charging).

Can I extend my holiday?
Everest base camp trek can be extend and there are many options and choices to extend your holiday before or after your main trip. Following trips are suggested for your holiday extensions.

• 2 nights / 3 days Chitwan Jungle Safari
• 2 full day sightseeing tour in Bhaktapur, Patan Durbar Square and  Kathmandu valley
• 1night/2 days Trisuli or Bhote Kosi river rafting
